Shabazz was last seen doing car detail work in Zebulon when he was believed to start heading on foot to Walmart.

Zebulon police have discovered a body in a drainage pond within the Weaver's Pond neighborhood, confirming it to be Kareem Shabazz, a Raleigh man missing for nearly a week.

According to Town of Zebulon officials, the body found in a retention pond off Weavers Pond Drive is believed to be that of Kareem Shabazz, a Raleigh man who went missing in the area last week.

A body found in the Weaver’s Pond neighborhood in Zebulon Monday is believed to be a missing man from Raleigh. Around 2 p.m., officers were on the scene in that location after responding to a call of an unresponsive person.
