Ford Motor Co. CEO Jim Farley has fallen in love with an electric vehicle. “It’s fantastic,” said Farley on the Fully Charged podcast. “They’re sold out for six months.” The car however is not one that Ford produces.

Ford does have its finger in the electric car pie, with Farley pointing out it's the number two in the US marketplace. But when it comes to EVs, China is way ahead of Western manufacturers, he warned. Ten years ago, the Chinese government declared a policy on developing electric vehicles and batteries, and that's paying off, he opined.

Farley has been driving a Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan for the past six months, and he likes it so much that he doesn't want to give it up.
