Navya Haridas, the state general secretary of the Mahila Morcha, has served as a councillor in Kozhikode for two consecutive terms and contested the 2021 Assembly elections.

Navya Haridas, a 39-year-old engineer and two-time councillor from Kozhikode, is the BJP's candidate for the Wayanad bypolls, where she will face Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of the Congress.

Priyanka Gandhi will be contesting from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, where a by-election was necessitated after sitting MP Rahul Gandhi, who was also elected from UP's Raebareli, vacated the seat to retain the family stronghold.
