The developer takes responsibility for The Day Before's failures and pivots to a prop hunt game after lackluster interest in its latest title.

Developer Fntastic, whose exploits we've long chronicled as they once threatened to bring The Day Before to PS5, is back again. Having laid low for a while, the studio emerged last month, attempting to raise funds for a new "project".

The Day Before was a huge catastrophe due to delays, poor gameplay, and a quick shutdown. Fntastic blamed the failure on excessive marketing and ambitious goals, then canceled one game and announced another.
