The No. 1 Oregon football team will go back to another relatively familiar look when it takes on No. 21 Illinois on Saturday at Autzen Stadium. After wearing what it called the "Heroes" uniform during the Michigan State game Oct. 4, Oregon will adapt the look slightly for its game against the Fighting Illini Saturday.

But it would zap any notion of a College Football Playoff appearance or even a legit belonging among the top couple of tiers of teams in the country. But, hey, if they’re competitive out there? If it’s a winnable game into the fourth quarter?
