Srinagar: One soldier injured in a terrorist attack on an Army vehicle Thursday in Botapathri area of J&K’s Gulmarg succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on Friday, taking the toll in the terrorist attack to five.

The terrorists carried out an ambush on the Army vehicle when the vehicle reached the remote Botpathri area. The security forces have launched counter operations in response to the terror attack.

The vehicle that was attacked belonged to the 18 Rashtriya Rifles. The attack took place near the Nagin Post area of Botapathar in Gulmarg, which is located close to the Line of Control (LoC).

Terrorists opened fire on the vehicle in the Bota Pathri area, six kilometres from tourist hotspot Gulmarg in north Kashmir, in the evening, when it was headed for the Nagin post in the Afrawat range.

Two Indian Army soldiers and two porters were killed after terrorists attacked an army patrol vehicle in the Gulmarg region of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday (24 October). Two other soldiers were reportedly injured in the attack and have been moved to a medical facility for treatment.

The attack, which took place on Thursday evening, also left three soldiers injured, as militants targeted an Army convoy near the Nagin post at Bota Pathri.

A heavily armed group of suspected Pakistani terrorists attacked an army vehicle moving in a convoy near Nagin post in the Butapathri sector of Baramulla district on Thursday. Unconfirmed reports claimed that two army jawans and two army porters have been killed.
