Coastal Carolina offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Travis Trickett has been fired, the school announced Monday. Head coach Tim Beck will take on both roles.

Coastal Carolina University fired its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach on Monday, coach Tim Beck said. The firing of Travis Trickett comes on the heels of consecutive conference losses to Louisana and James Madison that dropped the Chanticleers’ record to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the Sun Belt Conference.

Coastal is No. 43 nationally in scoring offense through the season's first two months, averaging almost 32 points per game. But Tim Beck's Chanticleers are just 4-3 on the season and have dropped three of their last four games. Beck, a former offensive coordinator, is resuming his play-calling duties.
