Birmingham Airport has been evacuated and all flights suspended following a report of a suspicious vehicle. In a post on social media, the airport in the West Midlands said police are "currently on-site dealing with an incident". "Airport operations are currently suspended," it added.

The airport itself has urged all passengers to 'not come to the airport' at this time'. Bosses have confirmed that police are on site dealing with an 'incident'. West Midlands Police has confirmed that it is dealing with a 'suspicious car'. No further details have yet to be provided on this.
