Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo shook off knee tendinitis and was in the starting lineup Wednesday night for Milwaukee’s opening night game against Philadelphia.

As expected, Antetokounmpo has been upgraded from probable to available and will play through minor knee pain. With Khris Middleton (ankle) sidelined to start the season, Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard will have to lead the way for Milwaukee against a Philadelphia squad without Paul George (knee) and Joel Embiid (knee).

Milwaukee Bucks. The first season of the Giannis Antetokounmpo-Damian Lillard pairing was derailed by injuries near the end of the season, and the Bucks bowed out of the playoffs in the first round against the Indiana Pacers.
