The office of Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake was put on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a campaign intern opened a package with a "suspicious" substance.

Multiple first responders and hazmat units were called to Kari Lake’s campaign headquarters in east Phoenix after the political candidate said a “suspicious envelope” was sent to her office.The substance has since been deemed safe.

The envelope had a nota that said "caution anthrax." Authorities have not confirmed whether the substance was indeed anthrax
