Indian airlines received bomb threats between Monday night and Tuesday afternoon on both their international and domestic routes.

This wave of threats follows yesterday's incidents where 30 domestic and international flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats

The statement reads, "We are taking all necessary precautions in collaboration with relevant authorities."

A bomb threat was reported on a Vistara flight from New Delhi to Kathmandu, prompting a Nepal Army bomb disposal team to inspect the airport. Akasa Air also received security alerts for some flights,

This incident followed a similar one just a day prior, where around 30 flights operated by various Indian airlines, including IndiGo, Vistara, and Air India, received bomb threats on Monday night. Last week, over 120 flights operated by Indian carriers faced bomb threats as well.

With this, airlines have received around 170-180 threat messages since October 14 even as the government said it is planning to identify threat messages to airlines as cognisable offence and put such callers in no-fly list.

The flights of IndiGo, Vistara and Air India were among those that received the bomb threats, the sources in the know said.

Nearly 50 domestic and international flights of Indian carriers received bomb threats on Tuesday, taking the total number of flights that have received the threats since Monday night to around 80, according to sources.
