The family of a Black man killed when eight Ohio officers fired 94 bullets at him after he shot a round out his window during a police chase will receive a $4.8 million settlement from the city of Akron.

Relatives of Jayland Walker, a Black man who was killed by Ohio police, reached a settlement with the city of Akron.

In a joint statement released Monday, the city announced the settlement would be paid in four installments over the next four years.
